Glad to see someone else is talking about professional and business licensing. This old form of economic government over-reach seems so natural to most Americans it's rarely even discussed. Genuinely believing a hive of bureaucrats is going to 'protect' you from various forms of malpractice borders on psychosis; and what little benefit they do bring doesn't even outweigh their operating costs, much less the unintended consequences of competition-stifling protectionism.
My "radical" stance is that no professional should require permission from the government to do their job; EVER. Argue with me, please. Just remember it's not ideological and I WILL bring in historical facts and numbers.
