Venezuela After Chavez (OR "I was right and you were wrong, again!")

Here we go! Not a very happy 'I told you so', but rack up another accurate prediction. Hugo Chavez was such a "beloved leader" and built such a "culture of unity and democracy" that his hand-picked heir squeezed by on 50.8% of the vote, and is now outlawing opposition protests and threatening to arrest people for accusing him of fraud; which of course deteriorates into clashes and further accusations. The opposition is just as bad, but that's a moot point. Power vacuums, electoral fraud accusations, and protests deteriorating into violence (already more people killed and injured than in Boston) happen in the wake of the deaths of ruthless, self-serving dictators; NOT revolutionaries who build democracy.
